BioWelcome to Callahan's Place. Our drink of choice of a cold evening is Irish Coffee, but you can have whatever warms your heart. We're a friendly bunch, and we'll listen to anyone's problems. Strange things have a way of happening here. Don't say you weren't warned.
People, and I use that term advisedly, come to Callahan's from all over the known and unknown universe. It wouldn't be unusual to find yourself sitting between a talking German Shepherd and a vampire. So that everyone's equally comfy, we have two rules:
(1) No prying.
(2) No staring.
Me, I'm Mike Callahan, time traveler extraordinaire, and sometimes known as "The Mick of Time". I own this joint, and my wife, Lady Sally, owns the fancy brothel over yonder. Check it out some time. It's a right fine place.
Anyhow, c'mon in and pull up a seat. We're waiting for you.

Callahan's Law: Shared pain is lessened; shared joy, increased — thus do we refute entropy.
Restatement 2nd: Just as there are Laws of Conservation of Matter and Energy, so there are in fact Laws of Conservation of Pain and Joy. Neither can ever be created or destroyed. But one can be converted into the other.
